Santa Monica

We just got back from Santa Monica. Going to the beach has become one of my favorite things to do. Now that the kids are older it seems hard for all of us to get away together so I really cherish times that we can all just go away for a few days. I have to admit the best times are when Arnold and I get up eary and go for a walk it is so nice to walk and talk about where we have been in our life together and where we are going. God has blessed us so much and brought us so far it is so exciting to plan and talk about what he may have planned next.

Sommer has decided

Sommer has been keeping us all in suspense but Christmas morning she announced her decision after she graduates in June she has decided to go into the AIM program. She does not make this decision lightly she has been thinking and praying about this for over a year and has decided that this is what she wants to do and believes that this is how she can best serve God right after high school. Arnold and I are very excited about her decision we know she will have such a memorable two years. We will miss her so much but we know that God will guide her and take care of her through the AIM staff. Thank all of you who have encouraged her and inspired her to do this.

Christmas Blessing

Merry Christmas!

God is so good in the opportunities he allows me. I was changed last Thursday when I, along with a small group of the Woodward Park Church members went to deliver Christmas gifts to a family that we adopted for Christmas. We met this family in our outreach to the downtown Fresno area. This family has touched my heart, but not as much as last Thursday when we went to deliver the gifts, and tree and to decorate it with them. They told us that this was the first time that they had a Christmas tree. I started thinking about why that touched me so much is it because I have three trees up this year and felt guilty? Was it because they were so grateful or because they were so excited to decorate the tree? I believe that it was a combination of it all. I thank God that he allowed me to witness this to see this family so excited over something that I take for granted. I will be thinking of this family today as my family opens our gifts. I will be praying for them. Oh how exciting to think about how God has placed them in our lives and that he is entrusting us to influence them for him. I pray that we will continue to reach out to them and that they will respond to the message of our Lord. Please join me in praying for this family.
